The Best Of Hootie & The Blowfish (1993 - 2003)

Formed at the University Of South Carolina, this rootsy, blues-flavoured rock 'n' roll powerhouse exploded onto the scene in 1994 with the chart-topping debut album Cracked Rear View, now 16-times platinum in the US alone. One of the disc's smash singles, "Let Her Cry," won that year's Best New Artist Grammy. Phenomenal success continued with another #1 album - '96's Fairweather Johnson - followed by the #4 Musical Chairs in 1998. Hootie's resonant, crowd-pleasing sound continues to deliver - their self-titled 2003 album spawned the potent power ballad "Innocence," one of the standout tracks featured on this compilation from everyone's favourite "ultimate bar band."
